Only one content marketing page — the April 2026 GoGuardian Discover launch post — falls within the 90-day citation window.

Why it matters: AI platforms heavily weight content freshness when selecting sources for citation. Research shows 76.4% of AI-cited pages were updated within 30 days. With 94% of GoGuardian's content marketing pages outside the dominant citation window, competitors with fresher comparison and thought leadership content will be preferentially cited in vendor evaluation queries.

Business consequence: When K-12 administrators search "GoGuardian vs Lightspeed" or "best web filter for school districts," AI platforms will prefer competitors who refresh their comparison content quarterly — GoGuardian's stale comparison pages signal irrelevance in the citation window that drives 76% of AI responses.

Recommended fix: Add visible publication and last-updated dates to all comparison pages and case studies. Without timestamps, crawlers cannot distinguish recently updated product pages from years-old event listings, potentially deprioritizing fresh content and wasting crawl budget on stale pages.

Business consequence: Without lastmod signals, AI crawlers treat GoGuardian's recently updated product pages the same as years-old event listings — queries like "K-12 classroom management tools 2026" may not surface GoGuardian's current product content, even when it's been recently updated.

Recommended fix: Add lastmod timestamps to all sitemap entries, sourced from the CMS last-modified date.
